What We Do

For over twenty-five years, we have specialized in Eminent Domain issues across the State of Georgia ranging from easements, acquired right-of-way, and a loss of property rights due to a public project.

Our Mission Statement

Empowering the Property Owner to maximize their Just Compensation from Eminent Domain. Serving Georgia in Property Right Consultation, Negotiation, and Appraisal. If you have a forced property acquisition we can empower you with knowledge, experience, and integrity.

“Do I need an attorney?” This is a question we are frequently asked. Our first response is, “Are you in active litigation or condemnation?” If “YES”, then one of the many branches within the HAWKWOOD includes a retainer of specialized real estate attorneys that we call on based on property issue, complexity, and location. If you are an attorney and would like to be considered to be added this list then please contact us today.

If the answer is “NO. I am not yet in litigation”, then the property owner is most likely in what we at the HAWKWOOD consider to be a forced real estate transaction. In this case, the property owner is engaged in active negotiations with the Eminent Domain entity that has a requirement for right-of-way acquisition of private property. Here we provide negotiation support through our other branches of real estate services, from right-of-way appraisal, appraisal consultation, or specialized Eminent Domain real estate agents to surveyors, engineers, and land planners. In many cases, the HAWKWOOD can conduct, and complete the entire process of successfully negotiating these forced transactions for maximum just compensation to the property owner without condemnation or litigation. We communicate with the property owner through the entire process until the deeds are recorded and the compensations have been confirmed.
